Kathie's July 2009 Hawaii Trip
Those events determined
the begin and end date of my trip, and after that was decided,
all of my other events and activities just naturally fell into
place.
Itinerary
Arriving in Honolulu on Friday, July 17, 2009
and flying home Friday, July 31, 3009.
Events
I planned my July 2009 Hawaii trip around three events:
the Roy Sakuma Ukulele Festival in Kapiolani Park on July 19,
the Prince Lot Hula Festival at Moanalua Gardens on July 18,
and a July 30 concert at the Bishop Museum
Activities
On this trip I will take both of Walter Rhee's
Chinatown Food Tours, I hope to attend at least
one of the Aloha Boat Days events, I'm trying
to find out if I can see anything related to the
TransPac California to Hawaii sailing race.
Attractions
I hope on this trip I will finally be able to
visit the Honolulu Police Department's Law
Enforcement Museum.
Music
As with all my trips, this one will include plenty
of music. I expect to hear the following musicians
and singers perform:
Hoku Zuttermeister,
Moanalua,
Rolando Sanchez,
Darren Benitez,
Bill Tapia,
Ohta-san (Herb Obta Sr),
and plenty of others that will be listed
here later.
