Admiral Bernard A. Clarey

Admiral Bernard A. Clarey was a submarine commander during
World War II and he was commander of the United States Pacific
Fleet from December 5,1970 through September 30, 1973. The
Admiral Clarey Bridge that connects
Ford Island in
Pearl Harbor with the
Oahu mainland was named after him. Admiral Clarey
died at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu on June 15, 1996
