Hawaiian Islands.
Papohaku Beach, on the west side of Molokai, is also known as "Three Mile Beach" because it is more then three miles longand approximately 300 yards wide. This is one of the largest and widest white sand beaches in Hawaii, but it is still remote and uncrowded. Papohaku beach is a popular spot for snorkeling and scuba diving except during the winter months, when the surf can be very high. There is a Papohaku Beach park has restrooms, drinking water, picnic tables, and showers, but there is no lifeguard. How to get there: Papohaku beach is located on Kaluakoi Road, about two miles past the entrance to the Kaluakoi Resort. Ka Hula Piko Festival There is an annual event held every May in Papohaku Beach Park, called the Ka Hula Piko Festival. It is a free all-day outdoor concert with hula performances, chants, musicians, comedians, Hawaiian crafts, and food booths. The 15th annual event will take place May 18-20, 2006 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. - History of the Ka Hula Piko Fesival - Article About the 1998 Festival ResourcesVisitor Destinations in Hawaii
