This Taro Rolls luau recipe was provided courtesy of
the Polynesian Cultural Center on the northeast shore of
Oahu Island in Hawaii. The Polynesian Cultural Center's
published luau recipes are similar to the recipes used for their
Alii Luau Feast
Ingredients:
Instructions: Ingredients
- Warm water (90 degrees), 1-1/3 cups
Instructions
Use an electric mixer to combine egg, butter, food coloring, poi and water.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
Mix all ingredients on speed #2 with a dough hook until the texture is smooth.
Remove from mixing bowl and place on flour table top. Roll 3 ounce pieces into balls. Line a baking pan with aluminum foil and place roll taro balls on the pan. Set aside and letthe balls rise for 15 to 20 minutes.Bake at 225 degrees for 20 minutes. Resources(to be added) Collection of Recipes From Hawaii
