Chili and Rice Recipe
A recipe for ground beef chili and rice, a dish often served in Hawaii's
plate lunch cafes and food trucks.
The chili in this recipe has a smooth texture
and it includes an aromatic array of spices and ingredients,
including chili powder, cumin, allspice, cinnamon,
cayenne pepper, and even unsweetened cocoa,
Worcestershire sauce, and vinegar.

Chili Ingredients
- 1 large onion chopped
Chili InstructionsSaute ground beef with onions and garlic until the beef is just beginning to brown. Add remaining ingredients, cover, and cook over low heat for 1.5 to 2 hours. Cool to room temperature and then chill overnight. The next day, remove the fat that has risen to the top, heat the chili, and serve over scoops of steamed rice.
