Puu Ualakaa State Wayside Park

An introduction to Puu Ualakaa State Wayside Park in the mountains above downtown Honolulu.

Puu Ualakaa State Wayside Park is a 50 acre forest park on a cinder cone near downtown Honolulu. A lookout point in the park offers views of southern Oahu including Diamond Head, the Manoa Valley, Waikiki Beach, Honolulu, and Pearl Harbor. The one mile Ualaka'a Loop Trail is in in the park and there are also picnic shelters and restrooms.

Photos of the View from Mount Tantalus
One of the best views of Honolulu, from Diamond Head to Pearl Harbor, is from the lookout area at the top of Mount Tantalus, inside Puu Ualakaa State Wayside Park.
