Ahupua'a O Kahana State Park

This park was formerly known as the "Kahana Valley State Park" and it is located about 26 miles from Honolulu on the windward side of Oahu, between Kaneohe and Laie.

This 5230 acre park is located in a scenic valley and it includes a beach park and hiking trails through the valley. The park is popular for swimming, bodysurfing, hiking, fruit picking, camping, and picnics in a coconut grove.

Scenic wildland valley. Swimming, bodysurfing, beach-related activities, picnicking, camping and viewing of Huilua Fishpond at beach area. Hardy family hike (4.9 miles) and fruit picking in lushly vegetated forest; picnicking in coconut grove; pig hunting in public hunting area. Park open during daylight hours.

The park is located at 52-222 Kamehameha Highway (Highway 83) in Kahana.

Description and photos of a hiking trail that begins in the Ahupua'a 'o Kahana State Park.

Puu Piei Trail
This trail is also called the "Loswer Pauao Ridge Trail" and it climbs from sea level to 17000 feet to the top of Puu Piei Peak. The trail is an offshoot of the Kilo Trail that begins in Ahupua'a 'o Kahana State Park.
