Information about hotels and condominiums in the Hana area
of the island of Maui in Hawaii.
Hana-Maui Hotel and Spa
There is only one real hotel in Hana, the peaceful and luxurious
70 room Hotel Hana-Maui. The hotel sits on 66 acres of oceanfront
land at the end of the Hana Highway. It first opened in 1946 as the
Ka-Uiki Inn and it was last renovated in 2002.
Accommodations at the Hana-Maui include the bungalow style
"Bay Cottages" near the main building, the "Sea Ranch Cottages"
situated on a seaside bluff, and the "Plantation House",
which is a luxurious 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom, gourmet kitchen
home with a wrap-around lanai that is situated on four acres
of land. Amenities and facilities include the
7650 square foot Honua Spa, the Kauiki Restaurant,
the Paniolo Lounge, and two swimming pools. To preserve
a sense of serenity on the hotel grounds the rooms
do not have radios, televisions, or even clocks!
The Hotel Hana-Maui is not cheap - rack rates begin at about
$500 per night - but if you feel like splurging on a romantic
or private retreat, this is a beautiful and tranquil place to
spend a few days. Located at 5031 Hana Highway.
