Chinese New Year on Maui

Information about Chinese New Year events, activities, and celebrations on the island of Maui in Hawaii.

Chinese New Year in Lahaina (February 23-24, 2007)
The Chinese New Year Celebration in Lahaina Town will will include lion dancers parading down Front Street on Friday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. On Saturday evening from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm there will be a street party in the 800 block of front street that will feature lion performances with traditional drums, gongs, symbols,and firecrackers. There will also be Chinese martial arts demonstrations and food booths, a tea house, and children's activities.
