Kauai Ongoing Events

A guide to ongoing, regularly scheduled events on the island of Kauai in Hawaii. Note that all of these events and schedules are subject to change, so contact each organizer in advance to confirm.

All Girl Rodeo Sundays
About six times a year there are all-girl rodeo competitions at the CJM Country Stables in South Kauai. Admission is free and there are outdoor bleachers and plenty of parking.

Hanalei Community Center Concerts
Doug and Sandy McMaster perform a concert featuring Hawaiian slack key guitar and ukulele music every week at the Hanalei Community Center in North Kauai. The concerts take place almost every Friday in the late afternoon. Tickets cost about $20 and they are available at the door. Call 808-826-1469 to confirm dates and times.

Kauai Sunshine Farmer's Markets
The Kauai Sunshine Markets are a series of weekly farmer's markets held at various Kauai locations including Koloa, Kalaheo, Kapaa, Hanapepe, Kilauea, Lihue, and Kekaha.

Kauai Concert Association Series
The Kauai Concert Association produces an annual concert series featuring many different types of music and dancing, including classical, jazz, world music, and more. Their concert season typically runs from September to April.

Kapaa Town Historic Walking Tour
Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday the Kauai Historical Society conducts 1.5 hour walking tours of the east coast town of Kapaa. For more information phone 808-245-3373.

Kauai Museum Ohana Days
Monthly family day at the Kauai Museum that is usually focused around a particular culture or theme.

Kauai Raceway Park Drag Races
Series of drag races on the far west side of Kauai Island.

Moolelo Under the Moon
Regularly scheduled event at the Limahuli Garden and Preserve in Haena on the north coast of Maui.

    Old Waimea Sugar Plantation Walking Tour
    Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday Kauai visitors can take a walking tour of the Waimea Plantation Cottages resort and the old Waimea Sugar Plantation camp. For more information phone 808-335-2824.

    Robinson Family Adventure Tour
    Tours of a working sugarcane plantation, processing facility, and irrigation ditches are available Monday through Saturday. For more information phone 808-335-2824.

    Waimea Town Historic Walking Tour
    Every Monday there is a 1.5 hour guided walking tour of the southwest Kauai town of Waimea. The tour begins at the West Kauai Technology and Visitors Center. For more information phone 808-338-1332.

    West Kauai Craft Fair
    Thursday through Sunday there is a craft fair at the Waimea Mill with local crafts, food, and entertainment.
