Poipu is one of the safest beaches on Kauai and the
Poipu Resort Development is nearby. Those two factors
and the beauty of this beach make it the most popular
beach on the island. The beach is used for swimming,
surfing, and snorkeling an thee is a natural wading pool for
children. Facilities and attractions include a white
sand beach, a lifeguard, shady areas, picnic tables, restrooms, and showers.
Monk seals often appear on Poipu Beach, and it is important
for visitors to keep their distance from these endangered creatures.
