Regions of Kauai Island

Information about the tourism regions of Kauai Island in Hawaii.

North Kauai
Includes the towns of Haena, Hanalei, Kalihiwai, Kilauea, Princeville, Wainiha, and the Anini Beach and Moloaa Bay areas. Among the area's top attractions are the Hanalei Valley Lookout and the Kalalau Trail on the Napali Coast.

South Kauai
Includes the towns of Kalaheo, Koloa, Lawai, Omao, Poipu, and the Kukulula area.

West Kauai

Includes the towns of Eleele, Hanapepe, Kekaha, Kaumakani (formerly Makaweli), Pakala Village, and Waimea

East Kauai North
The northeast region of Kauai Island is also known as the "Coconut Coast". Includes the towns of Anahola, Kapaa, Kealia, Wallua, Wallua Homesteads and the Aliomanu Bay Kapahi, Kawaihau and Waipouli areas.

East Kauai South
The southeast region of Kauai Island is also known as the Lihue-Kalapaki Region. Includes the town of Lihue, the local communities of Hanamaulu and Puhi, and the Hawiliwili Harbor area.
