More then a million people a year visit the Dole Plantation's pineapple maze, train ride, and pineapple garden. The plantation shop and cafe sell more then 3500 fresh pineapples a week.

Visiting the plantation grounds, the pineapple garden, the gift shop, and the cafe is free. There are separate charges for taking the train ride, visiting the maze, and taking the plantation garden tour. All three attractions can be visited for less then $20 total.

History of the Dole Plantation
In 1899, a young Massachusetts native named James Dole used his savings and moved to Honolulu. He eventually purchased a 64-acre homestead in Oahu's central plains and experimented with several crops, finally choosing to grow pineapple.
