Honolulu Advertiser (1856-2010)
The Honolulu Advertiser newspaper was founded in 1856,and at that time it was published weekly and known as the Pacific Commercial Advertiser. The paper's name was changed in 1921 and eventually it became largest daily newspaper in Hawaii. The newspaper ceased operating in 2010 when it merged with the Honolulu Star-Bulletin to become the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

Honolulu Star-Bulletin (1882-2010)
The Honolulu Star Bulletin daily newspaper was founded in 1882, when it was known as the Evening Bulletin. In 1912 it merged with the Hawaiian Star Newspaper, and was renamed the Honolulu Star-Bulletin. The newspaper ceased operating in 2010 when it merged with the Honolulu Star-Bulletin to become the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

Honolulu Weekly (1991-2013)
The Honolulu Weekly was an alternative newspaper with articles, a calendar of events, dance clubs, a band calendar, film reviews, movie times, restaurant reviews, and classified ads. The newspaper ceased operating in 32013 but all 23 years of of its articles have been digitized and archived in the Hamilton Library of the University of Hawaii.
