The island of Oahu draws more visitors than any other Hawaiian Island, and it has approximately 80% of Hawaii's population. It is nearly 600 square miles in size and it is known as the "gathering place". Among its most famous Oahu attractions are Waikiki Beach, the city of Honolulu, Pearl Harbor, the Polynesian Cultural Center, and the world class surfing beaches on Oahu's north shore.
