French Frigate Shoals in the NW Hawaiian Islands

French Frigate Shoals is the largest atoll in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. It is an open atoll that includes a twenty-mile crescent shaped reef, twelve sandbars, and 120 foot high La Perouse Pinnacle. The total land area of French Frigate Shoals is approximately 70 acres and the total reef area is more then 230,000 acres.
