Introduction to Kaunakakai Harbor
The Kaunakakai harbor in the south central Molokai town of Kaunakakai serves both commercial and recreational puurposes. The harbor was dredged and constructed by the Corps of Engineers in the 1930's. Today is is jointly managed by the two state of Hawaii entities, the Department of Transportation's Harbors Division and the Department of Land and Natural Resources Boating and Ocean Recreation Division.
