Guided Tours of the Kalaupapa Settlement

Note that visitors to the Kalaupapa Settlement must be age 16 or older, they must be part of an organized tour group, no individual exploring is allowed, and out of respect for the patients who reside in the community, there is an upper limit of 100 visitors per day.

Tours are available Monday thrdough Saturday except on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. The museum store is open from 10:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. on the days when tours are offered.

Damien Tours
All visitors to the Kalaupapa Settlement must make arrangements in advance with the Damien Tours, a company founded by Gloria Marks and her husband Richard Marks (1929-2008) in 1966.
