Palaau State Park Camping

Palaau State Park Campground
State park campground situated within Palaau State Park. The park has a scenic overlook with views of Historic Kalalupapa. The park's campground has tent sites only and all campers must have a tent. Motor vehicle camping is now allowed and no animals are allowed except authorized service animals. Located at the end of Kalae Highway (Highway 47) near Palaau, in Papokahu beach Park. Note that all campers purchase a hawaii State Parks Camping Permit.

Molokai Forest Reserve Camping

Molokai Forest Reserve Campground
The campground within the Molokai Forest Reserve is known as the "Waikolu Campground". It features views of the Waikolu Valley and the Pacific Ocean. Facilities include one sheltered picnic pavilion, unsheltered picnic tables, and toilets. Campers should bring their own drinking water. Van be accessed by driving on Highway 460 about 3.5 miles northwest of the town of kaunakakai, and then driving about 10 miles on unpaved on Maunahui Road (4-wheel drive vehicles are recommended). Note that all campers purchase a hawaii State Parks Camping Permit at least 7 days prior to their check-in date.
