A stamp issued by the U.S. Postal Service in May of 2006 paid tribute to the island of Molokai as having the highest seacliffs in the United States. The sea cliffs along the northeastern coast of the island of Molokai are the highest sea cliffs in the world. The cliffs near Umilehi Point drop nearly 3,300 feet at an average slope of 58 degrees. On May 27, 2006 the United States Postal Service released a series of stamps called "Wonders of America: Land of Superlatives". One of those stamps paid tribute to the Hawaiian island of Molokai as having the highest seacliffs in the United States. Visitor Destinations in Hawaii
