Waimea Cherry Blossom Heritage Festival
25th annual event was held on February 3, 2018 at several Kamuela (Waimea) town venues, from Church Row Park to Park Ranch Historic Homes.

Wiliwili Festival
7th annual event was held on Febraury 3, 2018. The event included guide tours of the Waikoloa Dry Forest Preserve, workshops, educational presentations, music, food, vendors, and a silent auction.

14th annual event was held February 24, 2018 at the Volcano Arts Centyer Niaulani Campus at 19-4074 Old Voclano Road in Volcano Town. The event included a gourmet buffet dinner, wine and beer, Hawaiian music, and both live and silent auctions.

Hawaii Heart Walk and Health Fair
This annual event promotes exercise and healthy lifestyle habits. typically there are two routes, both starting at the Edith Kanakaole Stadium in Hilo. Fair features free glucose, cholesterol, and blood pressure screening. For more information call 808-961-2825.

Hawaii Wood Guild Show
Three week event held at Suda's Gallery in downtown Hilo. Features furniture, musical instruments, sculptures, and other items made by Big Island woodworkers.

Hilo Chinese New Year Festival

Waimea Cherry Blossom Heritage Festival

Hilo Chinese New Year Festival
The Hilo Chinese New Year Festival usually takes place over two days and it typically includes a lion dance procession through Hilo Town, a performance at the historic Palace Theater, and an all day celebration at a local park.
