About Captain Cook
Information for visitors to the community of Captain Cook in
the South Kona Region on the west side of Hawaii island.
Captain Cook is bordered on the north by Kealakekua
and on the south by Honaunau-Napoopoo.
Captain Cook is local community and census designated place in the South Kona Region on the west side of Hawaii Island. The town overlooks Kealakekiua Bay but it does not include the shoreline of that bay. It does, however, include a section of shoreline along Keawekaheka Bay, a body of water north of Kealakekua. Popular visitor attractions and activities in Captain Cook include the Kona Coffee Living History Farm and the Greenwell Coffee Farm Tour. Captain Cook also has some of the best overnight accomodations for kayakers and snorkelers visiting nearby Kealakekua Bay.
