Information and resources for visitors and residents of the community of Ainaloa in the
Puna Region on the east side of the Big island of Hawaii.
The residential community of Ainaloa is a small, inland community and subdivision in the Puna Region on the east side of Hawaii island It is located about 6 miles northwest of Pahoa Town, about about 16 miles southeast of Hilo Town and about 29 miles east of Vocanoes National Park. It is adjacent to several Puna region subdivisions including the oceanfront Hawaiian Paradise Park, and the inland subdivisions of Orchidlands Estates, Hawaiian Acres, and Fern Acres. Ainaloa is bordered on the south by the Puna Forest Reserve. Note that Ainaloa is a residential community with no commercial businesses.
