St. Benedict's Painted Church
South Kona Region Catholic church with a colorful interior painted by Belgian Catholic missionary Father John Veighe. The church was built between 1899 and 1902 and it was moved to its current location in 1990 when it was threatened by a lava flow. Listed on the United States National Register of Historic Places.

Small Puna Region Catholic church with a colorful interior painted by Belgian Catholic missionary Father Evarist Gielen. The church was built between 1927 and 1931. Listed on the United States National Register of Historic Places.
