Note that more than 80% of Hawaii's population resides on
the island of Oahu. That island also has the most
extensive tourism infrastructure, and it isthe most densely
populated, with more than 1,600 residents per square mile.
Hawaii Island (aka the Big Island of Hawaii) is the
largest of the Hawaiian Islands but it one of the least
densely populated, with fewer than 50 people per square mile.
