Tag the World Celebrity Triathlon
This event is a sprint-distance, fund raiser triathlon in Waikiki
that includes a 700 meter swim off Queen's Beach in Waikiki,
followed by a bicycle ride in Waikiki that includes a 2 kilometer
Diamond Head crater climb, followed by 5 kilometer run
on a course with views of Honolulu Harbor, Waikiki, and Kapiolani Park.
The 2009 Tag the World Triathlon will take place August 23, 2009.
XTERRA Mountainman Triathlon
Annual off-road triathlon at the Kualoa Ranch that includes
a .75 kilometer ocean swim, a 20 kilometer mountain bike ride, and a
6 kilometer trail run. Organized by BOCA Hawaii. The 2009 Jamba
Juice XTERRA Mountainman Triathlon will take place August 9, 2009.
Mango Days 5K
The Mango Days 5K is an annual Ala Moana park running event that
benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The 7th Annual Mango Days 5K
will take place on Sunday, August 9, 2009. The results of the
2009 Mango Days 5K are available on the Pacific Sports Events Web site.
Maui Bark in the Park Walk
This annual walking event and concert in South Maui
is a benefit for the Maui Humane Society.
The 2009 Park in the Park took place August 15, 2009
at Kalama Park in Kihei.
The pet-friendly and family-friendly event included
a walk-a-thon, contests, demonstrations, door prizes,
children's rides, and pet and food related vendor
booths.
Nami-Hawaii Walk
Annual summer benefit for the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
The 2009 NAMI Hawaii Walk took place on in downtown Honolulu
on August 1, 2009, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Oahu Heart Walk
This benefit for the American Heart Association is held
every summer in Waikiki's Kapiolani Park.
The 16th Annual Oahu Heart Walk will take place
August 1, 2009 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
Waipahu Cane Haul Run
This running and walking event is part of the Waipahu
5K Run/Walk and Festival event in Central Oahu.
The event is organized by the Waipahu Community Coalition.
The 1st Annual Waipahu Cane Run will take place on
Sunday, August 23, 2009 and it will feature a scenic
route through Waipahu Town that ends at the historic
Hawaii's Plantation Village indoor/outdoor museum.
Following the run there will be a free community festival
from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The registration fee
for runners and walkers is between $10-$25 depending
on when registration takes place.

This is a time-trial cycling event that takes place eveery summer.
