Islands in Honolulu County

Information about large and small islands situated within Honolulu County in the state of Hawaii. Honolulu County has more than 60 islands and more than 30 of those islands are within the Northwest Hawaiian Islands.

Island of Oahu
Oahu Island is the only island in Honolulu with a population of permanent residents. Oahu is also the most populated island in Hawaii. It is home to about 70 percent of the entire state's population.

Northwest Hawaiian Islands
Most of the Northwest hawaiian Islands are administtered by the county of Honolulu. The only exception is the Midway Atoll, which is a taerritory of the United States and not part of the State of Hawaii.
