Honolulu Filipino Fiesta and Parade
The annual Filipino Fiesta, Parade, and Santacruzan event will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Kapiolani Park on the Diamond Head end of Waikiki. This festival takes place every year, and it features three events in one: A morning parade through Waikiki, all day fiesta in Kapiolani Park with Philippine entertainment and food booths, and an evening Santacruzan Festival in the park featuring Filipino women representing religious and historical personages, marching under colorful, flower-bedecked arches in a candle-lit parade.
