Hawaii Flag Includes the Union Jack
The flag of the state of Hawaii is the only U.S. flag that features within it the flag of a foreign country. The British Union Jack is in the upper left corner of the Hawaii state flag.

1792: Captain George Vancouver first visited Hawaii
1843: Hawaii was temporarily under British Control

Captain Cook named Hawaii "The Sandwich Islands" after one of his expedition sponsors, the Earl of Sandwich.
